So here I am..thinking a blog might fill the void that is keeping me awake nights. More than likely it will just make me stay up later.
Where are we going and what are we doing in this handbasket? A phrase I use often so "Handbaskets R Us" seems to be a good blog title for me. Maybe blogging can help me make sense of the handbasket and where it seems to be heading...
I am 40. Yep, 40. Married to my best friend for the last 21 years and the mother of three great kids. #1 daughter will be 21 in a couple of weeks, #2 son turned 18 in July and our #3 aka the bonus child, will be 11 in December. All brilliant and witty and loved. Although there are days when I would trade one or the other of them for a nice puppy that pees on rugs.
My day job isn't all I want it to be. I am the CIO for a small community college. Big fish in a little pond, but the water is a bit murky these days. Been at it for a little over 12 years and it may be time to reevaluate what I do. Workaholic is a word used by many people to describe me. I am trying to change that, but not doing such a great job at it.
